By accessing or using Pet Lounge, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you may not use our platform. We reserve the right to update these terms at any time; continued use of Pet Lounge after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
Pet Lounge provides an online marketplace that connects pet owners with independent pet sitters. We do not employ sitters directly; they are independent service providers. You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account and use the platform. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information at all times and to update it as necessary.
You may not use Pet Lounge for any unlawful purpose or in any way that could damage, disable, or impair the platform. Any attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems is strictly prohibited.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account. Pet Lounge is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to protect your account information.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or otherwise harm users of the platform.
All bookings and payments must be made through Pet Lounge's platform. Off-platform arrangements are not covered by our insurance or dispute resolution services. When a booking is confirmed, a service fee of 15% is deducted from the sitter's payout. Pet owners pay the total amount displayed at checkout, which includes any applicable taxes and fees.
Payments to sitters are processed after successful booking completion. Sitter payouts are subject to our standard payment schedule and any applicable identity verification requirements.
Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the start of a booking are eligible for a full refund. Cancellations made within 48 hours of the booking start time may be subject to a cancellation fee at the sitter's discretion, as specified on their profile. In the event a sitter cancels a confirmed booking, pet owners will receive a full refund and our team will assist in finding alternative care.
Pet Lounge acts as an intermediary marketplace and is not responsible for the actions or omissions of pet owners or sitters. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Pet Lounge's total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the relevant booking in the twelve months preceding the claim.
These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
We may revise these Terms of Service from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through a prominent notice on the platform. Your continued use of Pet Lounge after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the new Terms, you must stop using the platform.
